Targeted peels using AHAs, retinol and brightening actives accelerate cell turnover and fade pigmentation at the epidermal level.
Learn More →Expert, multi-modal pigmentation correction for sun damage, melasma, post-inflammatory marks and uneven skin tone — safely and effectively in Malvern East.
Skin pigmentation occurs when melanocytes — the cells responsible for skin colour — produce excess melanin in localised areas. The result is patches or spots that are darker than your surrounding skin tone. While pigmentation is entirely harmless, it can cause significant aesthetic concern and affect confidence.
Pigmentation has many causes: UV exposure (the most common), hormonal fluctuations (melasma), post-inflammatory response after acne or injury (PIH), and natural ageing. Critically, different types of pigmentation require different treatment approaches — which is why correct diagnosis before treatment is essential. A protocol that works brilliantly for solar lentigines may worsen melasma if used incorrectly.
At K Aesthetics Studio, we begin every pigmentation consultation with a thorough skin analysis to correctly classify your pigmentation type and design the safest, most effective protocol for your skin.
The most common type — flat, darkened spots caused by cumulative UV exposure. Often found on the face, hands and décolletage. Generally very responsive to targeted treatments.
A complex, hormonally-influenced form of pigmentation that typically presents as symmetrical patches on the cheeks, forehead and upper lip. Requires a careful, multi-modal approach and ongoing management — we never promise a single cure.
Dark marks left after acne, skin trauma or inflammation (PIH). More common in medium-to-deep skin tones. Responds well to carefully selected brightening peels and topical protocols.
Generalised dullness, blotchiness or mottled pigmentation from ageing and environmental exposure. Brightening protocols restore a more even, luminous complexion.
Darkened spots associated with ageing and long-term UV exposure. Often appear alongside other signs of photoageing such as textural changes and fine lines. Treated as part of a comprehensive skin rejuvenation plan.
While many clients love their freckles, we can lighten and even skin tone for those who prefer a more uniform complexion — using approaches that preserve your natural skin character.
Effective pigmentation correction is not a single treatment — it's a strategy. We use a combination of modalities sequenced appropriately for your skin type, the type of pigmentation, and the time of year.
We identify the type of pigmentation — epidermal, dermal or mixed — and any contributing factors (UV, hormones, inflammation). This determines which treatments are safe and effective for you.
Pre-treatment preparation — typically 4–6 weeks of prescribed home-care actives (such as vitamin C, niacinamide, azelaic acid or a retinoid) — primes the skin for treatment and reduces the risk of post-inflammatory response.
A tailored combination of targeted chemical peels, active ingredient infusions, and where appropriate, SYLFIRM X RF Microneedling (for vascular pigmentation and melasma) and LED Light Therapy.
Daily SPF 50+ is non-negotiable. We provide a complete home-care protocol and schedule ongoing maintenance sessions to sustain your results and prevent recurrence.
Effective pigmentation correction is a programme, not a single session. Pricing depends on your specific protocol. A complimentary consultation gives you a clear, personalised plan and quote.
